![]() ![]() So I opened my shiny modification station in hope I would have the recipe. It's not like I just throw away the batteries when I upgrade to Ion Batteries, I would've most definitely put them is some kind of storage somewhere. In the container specifically labelled 'Batteries'? Zero to be found. Searching though every single container in the base, as well as the base I built a couple days later, turned up nothing. So I logged onto my survival world and instantly went back to my first seabase in search for answers. This is when I was thinking up the first draft of this reddit post, and I needed screenshots to go alongside the text. Even if I somehow managed to miss the update, it wouldn't matter anyway because I purchased and first downloaded the game in September 2020.Īfter a closer look at some more forum posts and the Update History page on the wiki I realised that Ion Batteries were added in the first update of 2017, and since the Lithium Ion Batteries were removed in late 2016, that would mean that there is not a single version of Subnautica that has both Ion and Lithium batteries obtainable in survival.Īt this point it's just insult to injury, because had I not only experienced impossible to obtain batteries, but I had also experienced them at the same time as the Ion batteries. You might be thinking something along the lines of "oh he simply hasn't been updating the game!" but that's completely false since whenever any game on steam has an update, you can't play said game until the update is done. Seems like that should be the end of the story and completely undeserving of a post on r/subnautica.īut here's the kicker my first playthrough was in September 2020. Now everything I've mentioned is completely normal right? Lithium ion batteries were removed in late 2016 and I simply got confused after coming back to the game in 2021 without realising they had been removed. Looking at the history of the Lithium wiki page seems to confirm this date. The Cut Content page gave no information to when the battery was actually removed, so I gave subnautica lithium ion battery a quick google search and saw many posts on different forums all from late 2016 about how they want lithium ion batteries back or confusion about where they are. Why would they remove the Lithium Ion Battery? When was it removed? Imagine my complete shock when I was lead to the Cut Content page of the wiki, although I now knew why the Lithium Ion Battery was nowhere on the wiki, I had many more questions on my mind. As a last ditch attempt I manually wrote out Lithium_Ion_Battery at the end of the link. I remembered crafting these batteries near the start of my first playthrough and I had found them very useful. So I looked at the 'Uses In Crafting' section on the page for Lithium and found nothing about any sort of battery.Īt this point, I was very confused. while land-based plants can be grown on an Interior Growbed, which can be placed in any base, Cyclops, or dry land.So I was browsing the Subnautica wiki after recently getting back into the game and I couldn't find a single mention of Lithium Ion Batteries, even after searching for them directly in the search box. ![]() ![]() Underwater plants can be grown on an Exterior Growbed, so long as it's underwater. Using a knife on numerous flora or collecting fruit will yield seeds, which can then be grown at a much faster rate. Of course, should players want a faster method, they can also grow the plants themselves. Barring corals, any plant depleted in a biome - from Acid Mushrooms, Creepvines, fruits, and more - will also naturally respawn in the area, after several in-game days. ![]() That is to say, via several methods, the plants of the Crater will always, eventually, respawn. The flora of planet 4546b also reacts similarly to overharvest as its fauna.
